Columbarium

SYNOPSIS

We are in August 2008, in the midst of the financial crisis. Following the mysterious death of his dad, Mathew, a Wall Street financial engineer, learns that he must build a columbarium by the family cottage with his younger brother Simon. Raised to a born-again Christian father, the two brothers will have seven days to complete their task. As the week goes by, Mathew’s strange behavior intensifies, which slowly builds up tension between Simon and himself. Guilt? Deep psychosis? Or vindictive evil spirit? This family gathering, turned into a bold confrontation, will unveil Mathew’s secret while exposing the backlashes of the American paradox: The American dream vs May God bless America.
